We had a great stay here. It was the perfect size for us and the other couple we traveled with. Beds were comfortable and we each had our own private bathrooms which was nice. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to make breakfast each morning. You can’t beat the location, just a short walk to the plaza. It was nice to be able to walk to dinner after a day of wine tasting. We used the hot tub a few nights which was nice, but the chlorine was really strong so we didn’t stay in long. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for the 3 of us attending a wedding. Super close to the town square, cafes, shopping etc. Proximity to grocery store was a plus. Would stay there again!

The home was absolutely perfect! The layout was great for 2 couples and we walked everywhere in Sonoma. We had a wonderful time!! The queen bed is also the most comfortable bed I’ve every slept in!

My friends and I planned a last minute new years girls' trip to Sonoma after our flight got cancelled due to storms, and our stay could not have been better! The cottage is so adorable and cozy and very spacious. It was very well stocked and we were able to most of our meals at home. Beds were sooo comfy and we all got amazing sleep and had no trouble sleeping in every day. Hot tub was an amazing plus and we enjoyed using it for multiple nights! I think best of all is the location, it is unbeatable—walkable to Whole Foods, wineries, super cute boutiques, restaurants, parks, and more! Also the property manager was super responsive to our questions and provided very clear instructions for everything. Overall we loved our stay here, could not recommend more!

The cottage at Sonoma was absolutely perfect. Located a block from the town square and walkable to pretty much everything. The house was well stocked with everything you need and was a great home base to relax and enjoy the courtyard or hot tub. We will definitely be back!

Amazing stay!!! If you are traveling with kids this spot is perfect. From the moment we walked in we were so happy and it set the tone for the rest of our trip. This house is so cute. The rooms are a nice size and one of them opens up to the backyard deck. The backyard is beautiful and perfect for our family so the kids could run around and play! The towels were nice and fluffy and I loved that they had a nice array of pillows with different levels of firmness so everyone had their prefect pillow. You CANNOT BEAT this location. Just a few minute walk to downtown Sedona with cute shops, restaurants, and a wonderful park/playground. The host/property management company was super communicative and I definitely felt that if anything came up they would promptly respond (though we didn’t need any support during our stay). I would recommend this property to anyone!!

We loved staying at Hunt's place. You cannot beat the location and the property itself is beautiful. Plenty of space for 4 people with a great kitchen & outdoor space to enjoy the weather. The wine passports provided were a huge bonus as they included half of the wineries we wanted to visit anyway, cutting our cost at each place in half. Would stay here again!

We loved our stay at Cottage Sonoma! The house is quaint but had everything we needed for four of us to be comfortable. Our favorite part was the location and how easy it was to walk to everything in Sonoma Square - especially some great restaurants like Sunflower Cafe for breakfast and El Dorado Kitchen for dinner - and just a short drive to some amazing Sonoma Valley wineries. Would definitely stay again!

Walking distance to the square.

We had 2 couples for a getaway. The place is in a perfect location. Walked to dinner every night, was able to have pizza delivered and there is a small back yard that is perfect to hang out. Convenient location to Sonoma valley and Napa is about a 15-20 min ride.

Location couldn’t have been better! The house was perfect for getting to downtown Sonoma and the great spots to get dinner or just a drink. Also would definitely recommend taking the short walk to grab coffee in the morning from Scooteria.

We just spent a week at Cottage Sonoma, and I have to say it was one of the best home rentals I've done across half a dozen states and three foreign countries (including three other stays in Sonoma). The location is wonderful. A short walk to the square, but still away from the bulk of the foot traffic. So close to shopping like Whole Foods or 7/11. And in a perfect location to hop in your car and quickly get out of town on Hwy 12. The house itself was very well maintained and had all the amenities and kitchen accessories you could hope for. The A/C was extremely effective, which was important on this very hot week, and the washer and dryer were large and new. The management was very easy to reach and highly responsive, but completely hands off if you didn't need them. And the back yard/hot tub combo were perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. This is an ideal house for two couples, but with the pull out sofa, could easily accommodate slightly larger groups.

I have stayed at several properties found through VRBO. This property is hands down the best place yet. Everything you need is there. The owners have thought about what is needed to make your stay enjoyable and haven't missed a thing. The kitchen is my favorite spot and this one didn't let me down. I only regret that I wasn't there long enough to take advantage of the grill outside. I wanted to see if the electric Weber would work. It is in a very convenient location and off high traffic roads so no street noise. Walking distance to where ever you need. Comfortable and quiet. No one ever bothered us. I highly recommend this for a great Sonoma experience.

My family attended a wedding in Sonoma and stayed at Cottage Sonoma, which is one block from the town square. Great location! Unfortunately we had to deal with quite a bit of rain and cold weather the 1st 2 days, but after the sun came out we were able to explore the surrounding stores, restaurants and offerings of town square. The house was great, very clean and well kept in a quiet neighborhood. No problems whatsoever, and we look forward to our next visit to this beautiful part of California!

You can walk to restaurants, grocery stores, wine tasting rooms, bocce ball courts, farmers market. It has become our winter home.

We had the best time on our girls trip and this cottage was a large part of it! It is located so close to the square! The owners are so thoughtful and have things labeled and easy to find. They also had staple items available for you if needed. Typically when staying in a rental with a kitchen it is completely bare and you have to buy everything. They had individual packets of things which made it so nice. We had a lovely experience here and can't wait to go back!

Wow talk about being in the center of all Sonoma has to offer. Great house, great location and we really took advantage of it. We walked to Whole Foods 3 minutes away. We walked to the Sonoma Grille 3 minutes for a wonderful dinner. Visited Kunde wines, a must see loved the cave tour and at night enjoyed the deck and hot tub. We called to report a mishap with the patio umbrella do to a gust of wind and the management couldn't been nicer. All in all a great time !

My two daughters and I had the best time on our first trip to the wine country. This place is immaculate. The kitchen contained everything you could possibly want, down to packets of creamer for our morning coffee in the fridge. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were fully stocked, and the hot tub was a nightly hit. We loved relaxing amongst the beautiful flowers after visiting some of the great tasting rooms and delectable restaurants. There are so many fun shops within steps of this cottage. I've stayed in a lot of short term rentals and this has been the best by far. The owner has done such a fantastic job of outfitting that you truly want for nothing and we never had a reason to reach out for assistance because everything is so well laid out. The fresh flowers in the bathroom were a delightful touch. I will definitely be staying here next time I'm back in the area. The pictures do not do this home justice. It is a lot bigger than expected.. The living area is nice. The kitchen/dining area is huge. The back yard is wonderful! The beds were very good.. Having two bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms, was perfect for two couples. It was a short 4-5 minute walk (one block) to the Sonoma Plaza. It was easy to get in and out of town each day, heading to the vinyards in Napa. The home was new on the inside; loved having a washer/dryer. I highly recommend.

The cottage is so close to Sonoma Town Square, and such an easy walk for dinner, drinks, ice cream and everything else. Byron has provided everything anyone could possibly need! The kitchen is well organized and perfectly stocked. While we never got to use the hot tub because we were so exhausted when we got back from the vineyards, it looked great, and the water was super clean which is always the case with hot tubs...it takes work to keep the tub clean and Byron's team gets the job done!

We've stayed in HomeAway properties in the US, Europe and Asia, and this cottage was among the best we've ever rented. When we come back to Sonoma, we'll definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Did a mother/daughter getaway recently and this house was the icing on top of a great long weekend. Everything we needed (the bathrobes were a lovely touch). Perfect location, terrific kitchen, comfy beds, great to have two baths------and the hot tub was a great way to wrap up the day. Little things like an easy-to-use thermostat and handy extras in the bathrooms and extra blankets in the closets and coffee in the kitchen made a big difference. Nothing but good things to say, can't wait to visit again. Owner and manager were easy to reach and pleasant to work with.

We really felt fortunate to have found this rental. The house is clean and well kept, has a huge kitchen, and is in a truly prime location, one block from the Sonoma Plaza. Ideal for a family of 5 or fewer, or maybe for 2 couples. I suppose one of the down-sides is that it isn't very secluded, but the proximity to the plaza is really fantastic.

Arrived on a Thursday afternoon and opened the door to loveliness - the home is soo spacious and welcoming. My boys loved the long hallway and running around in the backyard. We appreciated the short walk to the Square to have dinner, cheese or letting the boys run around and play on the play structures. We enjoyed wine tasting at Lasseter & Gundlach Bundschu as well as a dinner out at Aventine (Glen Ellen).

We come to Sonoma quite frequently and have to say, this is one of the best homes we have rented! You will definitely enjoy Cottage Sonoma if you are lucky enough to reserve this place!

Cottage Sonoma was a delightful place to stay! It is very clean and comfortable with many amenities. Best of all it is in a great location. We were able to walk to the town square to shop and eat. I would highly recommend this cute cottage!

"Perfect mini vacation in Sonoma"

This great little house is perfect for a small family or two couples vacationing together. Only one short block from the Plaza, you can walk to dinner, shops and wine tasting in the square. It is also within walking distance of a Whole Foods for stocking up on any groceries you may need for a long weekend.

It has two bedrooms, each with its own private bath, super comfy beds and a huge kitchen with everything you could think of.........from simply making coffee in the morning to cooking a full breakfast or dinner in the evening. It also has a lovely patio and backyard for relaxing in the evening and enjoying those wines purchased during your wine tasting day.

The only caution I would add is that it is a very small driveway and since it is so close to downtown, there's limited street parking. We only had one car so it was not an issue but having more than one car to park for the weekend might be difficult.

"Location, Location, Location!"

We booked the Cottage Sonoma for along weekend in July. We wanted to be walking distance from the square, but preferred a house to a hotel since we were going with another couple and thought it would be nice to have the extra space. Just a block of the square, we were able to enjoy wine tasting and dinner out without having to drive. There is also a Wholefoods two blocks down, which is perfect since we decided to stay in and cook one night. The kitchen had everything we needed and the backyard is nice to sit and relax. My only complaint would be the pillows. They were a bit too flat for my taste, but lucky for me i usually bring mine with with me!

"Home away from home"

An immaculate and extremely well equipped cottage in central Sonoma. Beautiful open kitchen/dining room with deck seating and bbq overlooking a small back garden. Beds a little soft for our personal taste but very very clean and comfortable accommodation with easy access to both Sonoma and Napa wine country. Highly recommended.

The Sonoma Cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We couldn't have asked for a better location, walking distance to shopping, restaurants and walking/biking path. This is a clean, well equipped place to stay. We cooked in every evening, and having the grill and well equipped kitchen is great for that. The back yard is a great place to either enjoy the hot tub or just sit on the deck and enjoy the garden. The location can't be beat for a walk to the town square, or a nice walk on the bike path or the trails behind veterans park.

"Great Location in the Heart of Sonoma Plaza Area"

We had the pleasure of staying here as our base to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and our 15 year wedding anniversary. It had everything we needed and was a 1 min walk to Sonoma Plaza which made it easy to grab breakfast and just walk around the shops and tasting rooms. It was also a great home base for our visits to several of the nearby wineries in both Sonoma and Napa. Both couples commented on how comfortable the beds were and the front room and back patio were great places to hang out and catch up.

Two couples used the Cottage Sonoma for our base to explore the Sonoma Valley. The Cottage was very clean, neat and well furnished. Parking for one car was fine. Did not use the Hot Tub, but sat on the backyard deck in the evenings and found to be very pleasant. Short walk to Town Square, restaurants, Church and Seven 11. Would use Cottage Sonoma in a heartbeat in the future.

"Darling house, great location"

Thanks for a great stay! We have stayed in many VRBO's and this one was right up there with other very nice properties. Ideal for the 4 of us, the yard, privacy and closeness to the Plaza was great! Kitchen was wonderfully equipped and the rooms very comfy. There could be a bit more usable storage in the bathrooms (rather than decorative storage) but for a few days, you can work around that easily. We will be back and hope to stay here again! Thanks for a very nice house in great condition.

"We Loved This Cottage!"

We have previously stayed with our friends at one of this owner's properties: Auberge Sonoma. We loved that condo off the Sonoma Square and we love this cottage equally. Very thoughtful in the decorating and the functionality of living in a cottage. Each of the two bedrooms has en suite bathrooms and the kitchen is amazingly well appointed. We lacked for no cooking utensils, baking dishes, baking sheets, etc. We actually ate in every night because the deck and outdoor table and grill were perfect for us after a day of viewing lovely scenery and visiting wineries. We were a very short walk from the Sonoma Square, one of our favorite places to be when we travel. The cottage is located in a very quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of markets, bakeries (love Basque Bakery and their offerings!), restaurants. We would stay at this location again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Byron, for making our trek out to Sonoma always so enjoyable. See you next year.

"It doesn’t get better than this!!"

We have stayed at Auberge Sonoma before and thought that was wonderful. This time we stayed at Cottage Sonoma and it couldn’t get any better. The kitchen/dining area is large and such a great meeting place as well as a place to hang out. The kitchen is one of the best stocked kitchens of the many VRBOs that I have stayed at. The backyard is private and the deck is inviting. Sitting there for breakfast, lunch or dinner and watching the different birds, especially the hummingbirds, is very relaxing. The close proximity to the Sonoma Town Square is nice. You can walk to restaurants, shopping, coffee, and so much more. There is an all purpose trail just a block away. I can’t say enough about this wonderful and comfortable rental. Most importantly, the place is very clean and well taken care of.Also important to mention is that voicemails and/or emails are promptly returned. Thanks to the proprietor, Byron, for maintaining a great place that makes you feel like your at home. We will definitely stay at one of Byron’s places again.

"Perfect getaway!!"

This house was the perfect location for easy access to the square and all the restaurants. A short drive to so many others! The hot tub was easy to use and the emails before we arrived helped to clarify any details we needed. The rooms were very comfortable and the house was perfect for two couples. Kitchen had all the cookware we needed and the grocery store was only a quick two block walk away. Book this house!! You will not be disappointed!

My family came to Sonoma for a four day wedding event. Cottage Sonoma was walking distance to each event. We were so close that my 87 year old mother could walk with us everywhere. The house has a great floor plan, in that people can be taking naps, while others enjoy cooking and socializing in the kitchen. The beds were so comfortable that when you would just lay down and put your feet up for a minute, you would fall asleep. The kitchen was well equipped with quality, Henkel, cookware.

"Centrally Located Cottage"

Cottage Sonoma is walking distance to the Town Centre where all amenities were available and the cottage is ideal for short-term rental. As UK citizens booking it with very little insight to the property was helped through by the owner.

We found the cottage had very comfortable beds; fully kitted kitchen and furniture of good quality. The cottage also had air conditioning that we found very useful as the local temperature soured over 100 degs.F during our stay.

Our only concern was the cottage lacked maintenance and we put this down to our rental falling at the tail end of the summer season!

We arrived at the cottage around 9 p.m. and as we entered the cottage we could not switch the lights on in the lounge whereas the rest of the cottage was fine. The following morning we contacted the manager who visited the cottage and found all side lamps not working - one needed a new bulb; one wasn't plugged-in and with the third she had to fiddle about to get the switch working. There were also some 7/8 down-light bulbs under the kitchen units that didn't work. These were not replaced throughout our stay. We found the air vents very dusty and as I suffer from asthma this caused me quite discomfort. Nothing was done about this even though the manager agreed the vents were filthy. During the second night of our stay the kitchen smoke alarm kept bleeping even though we had not used the kitchen during our first two days stay.

All such issues should be checked out at the cleaning / change-over stage before the rental to enhance the guest experience. The cottage though great obviously requires someone to check everything on a regular basis and to make the guest experience great in the future we would advise the owner to put in place a maintenance checklist and equally from time to time visit or better still stay a night or two to check out the facilities functionalities.

We Stayed here to attend a family wedding and it was just perfect and much less expensive than any of the hotels in the area. The house is very clean, and fully equipped with everything you will need right down to spa sandals and robes for the hot tub. The back yard is lovely and the house is only a block away from the main square. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly!

The cottage was a comfortable, clean, and an attractive place to spend five days. The cottage was spacious enough for the four of us. It had all the amenities that we needed. We used the hot tub a couple nights and it was very relaxing. We loved being so close to town and walked to town two or three times. Overall we would love to go back there again!!!

I would have liked a small dresser in our bedroom because we were there for a wedding and it was a little difficult to find the space to store all our clothes in our room, otherwise, fantastic place!!

My husband and I drove up to Sonoma from the Peninsula with another couple on Friday evening - and when we crossed the threshold, we immediately felt relaxed and "on vacation". Everything was in perfect order, beautiful and functional - a winning combo. We had a lovely, short walk to the Square for breakfast Saturday morning, my husband took a beautiful run beforehand and we look forward to going back for longer soon. Oh, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We slept so well!

My family absolutely loved our week-long stay at this cozy yet well appointed cottage within a block of the cute town square of Sonoma. The beds were amazingly comfotable and my wife fell in love with the soft pillows. The owners took the time to create a complete notbook of the area haunts with maps and reviews of all the local businesses and eateries. We would highly recommend this cute cottage to anyone of our friends.

We stayed for a weekend here to enjoy biking among the Sonoma wineries. This cottage is painted in yellow throughout so you feel like you are sitting in sunshine no matter the weather outside. The kitchen is completely furnished. The bedrooms are spacious with well appointed baths. The hot tub was divine after a long day of riding, It is two blocks from downtown and two blocks from the bike trail. The cottage was spotless. Like other renters, I found the beds too soft.

We stayed for a week, wish it could have been longer! The house is in a great location to be able to walk to great restaurants, shopping, some great wine tasting rooms, the bike trail and hiking, but still in a relatively quiet neighborhood. The hot tub was great for after long days of wine tasting. The kitchen has everything you need (we did stay in a few nights!) to prepare great meals. There was only one minor problem with the outside light which was fixed very promptly after we reported it (thanks!!). We will definitely go back to Cottage Sonoma...

My sister and I went to Sonoma and stayed at auberge. This place is amazing. The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked with just about everything you need but the best feature is the patio. The location is also perfect and within walking distance of downtown. I will without hesitation stay at auberge on my next trip to Sonoma.

"The perfect home away from home a few steps from the Town Square"

We just stayed at Cottage Sonoma for four days with close friends. Sonoma Town Square offers such a range of things to do and see - from galleries and gift shops to wine, cheese, olive oil and chocolate tasting to great cafes and restaurants to historic sites. It was so good to be able to pursue joint and separate interests - all just a block away from this gorgeous little cottage!

Byron, the manager, is great to deal with - very prompt to respond to questions, and also sending follow up emails just before our arrival (just in case we'd forgotten to print off the entry code and other important information). He also provided a wine tasting card for each couple which offered free tastings at places which otherwise charge a fee. Another lovely welcoming touch was fresh yellow and white roses (picked from the very pretty cottage garden) on the table.

There is a 7-11 store on the corner, and a great Whole Foods store within an easy stroll too. After being on a road trip for almost a month it was a delight to be able to cook our own food from delicious local produce, and to chill out with plenty of good Sonoma wine - the bright kitchen and dining area flows out onto a sunny deck complete with excellent barbeque and there is a hot tub in the pretty, private back yard. We have never stayed in a holiday rental with such great kitchen equipment as well as a pantry stocked with every cooking basic - including dried herbs and spices, oils, vinegars, sugar, flour, pasta etc.

Included in this really attractive and practical living space is a work desk complete with a desktop computer - there is also free wi-fi access if you bring your own laptop. On the shelves above the computer are a lot of very good books - both in terms of local information, but also an informal book exchange for keen readers (such as ourselves).

The two bedrooms are small but very comfortable, the master bedroom has an ensuite as well as French doors to the back deck. Both bedrooms have good window coverings (for late sleepers) and they are quiet and peaceful (no traffic noise).

You enter from the front porch to a really comfy living room equipped with TV and DVD - and there's a single pullout bed there if needed.

There is also a great laundry room with huge washer/dryer, ironing board etc.

It was amazing. The weather was wonderful. We traveled to the wineries in Sonoma and Napa, took the Wine train for the lunch trip, and drove all over in the area to enjoy as much as we could take in while we were there. Everyone was very friendly and accomidating. Would recommend this to anyone and have. Thank you for a wonderful week in Sonoma.

While not inexpensive, you get what you pay for. This is a top notch place, extremley close to downtown Sonoma...litterally steps away from shopping an restaurants. If you can splurge a little I gaurantee you won't be dissapointed in this location. Be sure that dowtown Sonoma is at least a few days worth of your trip to make the money invested here worth while. It was incredibly convenient to just walk out the door and have restaurants, wineries, wine bars etc just steps away. Rooms are very spacious and beds are extremley comfy...but on the soft side for those who prefer firm. The outdoor covered deck is amazing....you could have your own little party out there....it's almost as large as the whole appartment. Great place for relaxing with friends and a few botttles of wine after a long day of touring wine country.

We just returned from a weekend in Sonoma and our first stay at Cottage Sonoma. What a lovely place! We were very comfortable and took advantage of the very short walk to Sonoma Square. The cottage was accurately described on the web-site and we were not disappointed! We had dinner at Girl in the Fig one night (delicious), which was litterally one block away and pizza from Mary's Pizza Shack another night (try the pesto breadsticks - they are wonderful)! We definitely plan on making this an annual tradition and plan on staying at the cottage next year (and the year after, etc)!

We stayed at Cottage Sonoma for Labor Day weekend. It was our first getaway with our baby daughter who is 3 months old. The house is lovely. We just loved how bright and sunny it is. The patio was nice in the evenings. We would hang out there after our daughter went to bed. The kitchen is fully equipped and very clean. And we LOVED that the cottage is around the corner from the square. We were able to stroller over there every day and enjoy the shops, restaurants and fabulous park. I had no idea Sonoma was so baby/kid friendly! I would absolutely stay at Cottage Sonoma again. The house is charming, very clean, and comfortable. Can't recommend it enough!

We stayed in Cottage Sonoma with another couple and found it to be an incredible accommodation to see Sonoma and Napa. The Cottage was very quaint, extremely clean, very well decorated and was located one block from downtown Sonoma. Cottage Sonoma was like living at home while on vacation. It was equipped with everything including a hot tub which we unfortunately did not get to use because of time constraints. The Cottage is perfect for two couples. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were good sized and very comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything looked new and worked...sometimes you're not sure what you're getting when you see photos online, but this Cottage was all we hoped it would be and more. We would highly recommend this to anyone not wanting to stay in a traditional hotel, but also wanting something really nice. Byron, the owner, was also very helpful before and during our stay. We would definitely book it again!
